ALTINEX MT105-121 VGA-UXGA Video Matrix Switcher

The MT105-120/121 are VGA-UXGA Video Matrix Switcher Cards designed to switch high bandwidth RGBHV video signals. The MT105-120 card has eight inputs and eight outputs with 15-pin HD connectors. The MT105-121 card has eight fixed inputs and four fixed outputs, also with 15-pin HD connectors.

Both cards provide signal detection on input and output through horizontal sync. This feature allows for easy remote diagnostics throughout RS- 232 commands, from the source all the way to the output connectors.

The MT105-120/121 provides an economical application due to the space saving design using D-connectors instead of BNC connectors.

Inputs are switched to outputs through easy-to-use ASCII commands from a control system or computer connected to the RS-232 port of the MultiTasker enclosure. Both cards allow disabling of video outputs through RS-232 commands. Inputs and outputs may be programmed in batches and switched all at the same time with a single command.

A special feature of the Altinex MT105-120/121 is Sync Delay which eliminates the appearance of video signals before the display device is able to process the sync signals and properly format the video image.  The Sync Delay is the amount of time to wait after switching the Horizontal and Vertical Sync signals and before switching the RGB signals.  Each output may be programmed with a delay ranging from zero to 24.75 seconds, in increments of 250mS.

8 x 16, YPbPr + MONO, MATRIX SWITCHER

MultiTasker Product Family

•Modular, Factory Configurable Matrix Switcher
•Vary in Sizes from 4 X 4 to 64 X 64
•Multiple Signal Formats Available
•Empty slots can be re-purposed for scalers, da’s, control, etc.

The flexibility of the MultiTasker product line makes it possible to configure any size of matrix switchers as small as 4×4 and as large as 64×64. Various signal formats are also available, including composite video, S-Video, HDTV/component video, VGA, Twisted pairs as well as mono and stereo audio.

SPECIAL NOTE:
Here’s a quick and easy way to figure out which multitasker you would need based on the number of Inputs and the number of Outputs:

Part Prefix = MT for Multitasker
# of Inputs          ##
# of Outputs      ##
-                           dash
V#                        Video Format; 5 = RGBHV (VGA), 3 = Component (RGB/YPbPr), 2 = SVIDEO, 1 = Composite
A#                        Audio Format; 0 = no audio, 1 = Mono Audio, 2 = Stereo Audio

An example would be:
16×32 VGA with mono audio.  The part # is MT1632-V5A1

Altinex MT107-500

Universal UTP Matrix Switcher

The Altinex MT107-500 is a full 64×64 4TP AV Matrix Engine for switching video and mono audio twisted pair signals.  Designed for use with the MT100-114 enclosure and the MT101-118 front panel, it provides 64 video and audio twisted inputs and outputs.  Inputs are buffered to the matrix system through individual twisted pair receivers, while the outputs are driven by high-bandwidth drivers.  Although normally switched together, the video and audio channels can be controlled independently.

All MT107-500 functions are controlled with the MultiTasker’s RS-232 control language and maintained through the MultiTasker enclosure.  The engine can be controlled using the RS-232 bus, or by the front panel keys.  Using the keys eliminates the need for an external computer/controller.

In addition to saving a configuration for recall at power-up or reset, popular input-to-output configurations can be saved to memory and recalled with a single command.  Each of the 64×64 input-to-output settings, including output on/off status, are saved to non-volatile memory for fast recall of even the most complex setups.

The latest generation of Twisted Pair devices uses an innovative, patented technology* developed by ALTINEX.  The new signal processing technology allows transmitting and receiving fully equalized computer video signals, stereo, and audio signals over long distances.

Features

  • Expandable from 16×16 to 64×64 in 1 compact enclosure
  • Low noise internal fans for cooling
  • VGA-WSXGA, 480p-1080p
  • Shielded RJ45 connectors for low noise
  • Simple RS-232 protocol to provide easy switcher control
  • Both space and cost savings
