TV One ‘s C2-1150 Down Converter PLUS

It has all the functions and features of the C2-1100 and adds a wide variety of additional capabilities, such as Genlock, Picture-In- Picture, Chromakey and Lumakey. The Key Mode allows computer graphics to be keyed over an external Composite or S-Video signal. The keyed image may be faded in and out. Due to the 4:4:4 sampling format, precise keying at the pixel level can be achieved. The Mix Mode permits glitch-free mixing between the computer image and external video. The PIP Mode allows either of the computer inputs to be inset in a window over either of the video inputs or visa versa.

The Genlock feature insures precise synchronization of the incoming signals by providing a wide Subcarrier lock range with Subcarrier phase adjustment.

Input Expansion is available for both models by choosing the appropriate S2 Series Input Switcher, which links to the main unit via an Options Interconnect Cable. The routing of these additional inputs is controlled directly from the C2-1000 Series converter’s control system.

Now, you can convert anything on your computer screen for viewing on a TV set or recording on a VCR.

Getting the Best Results -
There are many factors affecting the quality of results when scaling video signals. Some basic precautions will ensure the best possible performance from your Scan Converter.

Output display device. The quality of the output signal will depend largely upon the type and quality of display device used. For instance, some video projectors just look better than others.
Distance between the Scan Converter and the display device. This plays a major role in the final result. Long distances are possible, but special measures should be taken in order to avoid cable losses. These include using high quality (coax-type) VGA cables. Line amplifiers may also be necessary.
Output connection cables. Low quality cables are susceptible to interference. They degrade signal quality due to poor matching and cause elevated noise levels. Therefore, cables should be of the best quality. Coax-type computer cables are recommended because of their superior internal shielding characteristics.
Interference from nearby electrical devices. These can have an adverse effect on signal quality. For example, an older computer monitor often emits very high electromagnetic fields that can interfere with the performance of video equipment in its proximity.
